American Chamber of Commerce in Senegal For Business, we stand! Senegal, a country of « Teranga » (welcome) by tradition, has much to win in favoring foreign investment on its land and the development of business relations with our neighbors http://www.amchamsen.org/. Our Organization The American Chamber of Commerce in Senegal (AmCham) aims to promote business relationships between the United States of America and Senegal and also to improve the business environment for the American companies in Senegal. AmCham Senegal is a platform of exchange and dialogue between companies; our aim is to lobby on behalf of our members and to act in such a way that the business environment becomes more attractive. By nature, AmCham Senegal addresses American companies which are already set up in Senegal, and those wishing to do so or which are interested in the Senegalese market. All the activities of the Chamber are financed by the contributions of its members and the chamber does not accept any subsidies from any government entity. AmCham Activities » Monthly Meeting (>AmCham Breakfast) Advice and guidance to U.S. investors AMCHAM's role as a provider of advice and guidance to U.S. investors interested in Senegal has been accentuated during the 2009-2010 season by hosting economic missions from the United States by State of Vermont and the Department of Commerce of the United States itself, in addition to direct talks with potential investors. Conversely, AmCham visited the United States, together with APIX for meetings with companies pre-identified and met potential future investors in Vermont and Chicago (Illinois). USA WEEK DAKAR: Our showcase Event Bringing American and Senegalese businesses remains our primary mission. Therefore we will organize in 2011 a new edition of the week of american companies in Senegal (USA WEEK DAKAR). This event will be held during the month of May 2011. It will include Exhibitions, Workshops, Conférences, Gala Dinner.
